Salt River Project (SRP), an electric utility in Phoenix, Arizona created an OT strategy and governance program in coordination with SRP’s OT groups, the IT organization, and cybersecurity. This effort supports SRP’s digital transformation work that will be fundamental in enabling the energy transformation occurring within the broader power system. A panel of executive leaders from SRP will provide an overview of the approach, challenges, and key takeaways learned from this effort.

The digital transformation effort is fundamental in supporting the evolution of the power grid and will require:

1. Process – A common process to engage as a unified team, utilizing a few tools and templates we will share that you can utilize in your organization.

2. People - A holistic workforce strategy and organizational change management capability to understand and execute work as significant change occurs.

3. Collaboration - As OT and IT technologies converge and increase in complexity, coordination and collaboration is fundamental for fully integrated, reliable, and secure solutions that promote resource efficacy. Part of this collaboration includes integrated IT/OT governance.
