Our commitment to ESG encompasses a wide range of initiatives before, during, and after DISTRIBUTECH® as well as within our own organization, Clarion Events. From our years-long focus on diversity and our attendee code of conduct, to our on-site donations such as Clarion Cares and our commitment to reducing waste at our events, we fully embrace ESG principles and put them in practice whenever and wherever we can. By integrating ESG principles into every aspect of our operations and events, we strive to minimize our environmental footprint, foster inclusivity and diversity, and contribute to the well-being of local communities.
Supporting a more ethical and sustainable future
Environmental
Our team and our vendors are committed to mitigating environmental impacts whenever and wherever we hold DISTRIBUTECH® today and in the future.
Where possible, we look to limit the environmental impact our event has and to be as sustainable as possible with logistics transportation, venue energy sources and waste management, food and depot waste, and the display material we use throughout the event. We offer our attendees the ability to purchase carbon offsets to reduce their own impact on carbon emissions and allow exhibitors to sign a sustainability pledge securing their commitment to their own sustainability standards.
Sustainability
At DISTRIBUTECH®, we look to support sustainability as much as possible through our valued partners, vendors, venues, and dedicated staff. Our commitment is to support meaningful change at our event and the communities we impact.
Carbon offset
Carbon offsets let you help build projects in communities across the country that reduce greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions beyond what you can achieve through individual action. Through registration, we offer the ability to purchase carbon offset credits to fund these projects and diminish the impact of your own GHG emissions, even though the projects are located elsewhere. Plus, contributors will receive a special icon on their badge to indicate their donation.
Clarion cares
Clarion understands the important role communities play in helping host our live events, and we want to return the favor to global and local communities that host and are touched by our live events.
Future Energy Leaders
In partnership with state and local universities, The Future Energy Leaders program allows students pursuing engineering and computer science degrees an exclusive chance to attend DISTRIBUTECH®.
Food donations
In partnership with KBHCC, we are committed to reducing waste by donating unconsumed food and unused promotional materials to local organizations in need. These efforts support the community and also contribute to our sustainability goals by minimizing event waste and fostering a positive environmental impact.
Barks & brews
Take a much-needed break from all the hustle and bustle of DTECH. There’s no better way to take a break than by cuddling with puppies! Visit the Barks & Brews booth #5836 sponsored by United Grid Solutions.
Meet ups
DISTRIBUTECH® Meet-Ups are designed to bring together individuals who share commonalities that hold significant value in shaping their identities, as well as allies who support them.
Women reinventing energy
We celebrate the incredible women leading the charge in the energy sector. These trailblazers are driving innovation, shaping the future of energy, and fostering a more sustainable world. Their reinvention and leadership are empowering the next generation of women to break barriers and drive meaningful change in the industry.
Governance
By supporting each other and committing to treat all customers with care and respect, we look to fuel growth and to strengthen our communities. At our events people and technology are working together to find solutions to solve the industries greatest challenges. Preparing the future generation of engineering professionals and maintaining the highest ethical standards for our attendees and exhibitors.
Partnerships
DISTRIBUTECH® takes immense pride in its strategic alliances with industry-leading associations and influential trade media. Together, we form an unstoppable force propelling the energy movement forward, catalyzing innovation, and shaping a brighter, sustainable future for all.
