Heat Inverse

Heat Inverse has developed thin-film technology that passively cools in outdoor applications. Our film is similar in thickness and weight to a sheet of paper. Applying the cooling film is as simple as installing wallpaper. Heat Inverse’s technology utilizes a spectral window within the mid-infrared region in Earth’s atmosphere to passively emit heat to the cold of outer space. This emission takes advantage of the second law of thermodynamics and allows certain wavelengths to leave Earth’s surface rather than being trapped by the atmosphere. Our film is a simple and effective solution to mitigate the effects of rising global temperatures that impact customers across numerous industries, especially utilities. Increased temperatures are known to decrease the safety, efficiency, and longevity of energy generation, storage and transmission infrastructure. Inverter and transformer health and performance, in particular, can greatly improve with reduced internal temperatures.
