Leaders from some of the largest utilities and technology companies in the United States are meeting in Florida on Tuesday, August 13 to define best practices to advance the country’s energy transition in 2025, according to John Engel, Editor-in-Chief, DISTRIBUTECH®.
“DISTRIBUTECH’s advisory board members are on the frontlines of the energy transition, tackling unprecedented load growth, the impact of data centers and AI on the grid, and the growing threats to reliability caused by climate change,” Engel said. “More than 100 executives in the energy industry are meeting to review nearly 1,000 content submissions to North America’s most influential energy event to guide the industry’s path forward,” Engel said.
Executives from the Department of Energy, AT&T, Duke Energy, Exelon, and IBM are among those meeting to discuss such topics as: data centers and load growth, electric vehicle expansion, cyber security of critical networks, grid reliability and resiliency, and renewable energy integration. The selected topics will be presented as educational sessions and insights at DISTRIBUTECH (DTECH) 2025.
