Amber has over 26 years of IT experience, with 16 of the years being focused on the electric utility industry.  She is currently the IT Director of SMUD’s Customer and Grid Operations Technology Center, responsible to deliver on the Next Generation Utility Roadmap.  Her team includes Operation Technology and Network Engineering, Real Time Applications (ADMS/DERMS/OMS), Energy Trading and Contracts, Grant and Vendor Management, Customer Choice Aggregator, Enterprise Analytics & Data Governance, IT GIS, Customer Technology (Customer Programs, Rates and Call Center), and AMI Technology (IT meter-to-cash).  Previously, Amber was the Manager of Real Time Applications deploying SMUD’s Advanced Distribution Management System (ADMS)/ Distribution Energy Resource Management System (DERMS) platform.  In addition, she has had extensive experience managing complex deliverables and adapting to changing requirements and shifting priorities to successfully implement and support ERP Systems, such as SAP, CRM, and Peoplesoft.  Amber is PMP and Scrum Certified and has received certification in Prosci Change Management.
