Andrey Shum is a Principal Engineer in the Grid Automation department at PECO. His primary responsibilities include evaluating and piloting new distribution automation technologies. Andrey joined PECO in 2015 and previously gained valuable experience in the Distribution Equipment & Standards and Distribution Automation departments, where he served as a Protective Settings Engineer and a Subject Matter Expert for testing and commissioning of recloser controls. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from Drexel University, graduating in 2011, and is a Registered Professional Engineer in the state of Pennsylvania.
