Brad Rogers, PhD is a Sr. Director of Data Science at EVgo which owns and operates America’s largest DC fast charging network. He has led technical efforts in data integration, application architecture, and decision analysis tools to improve charging operations and customer experience. This includes designing and building smart charging control systems and reliability tracking systems for EV charging infrastructure.
Dr. Rogers has 20 years of experience in the energy technology sector. He was previously a consultant to distribution utilities and regulators with his own Tritone Consulting and before that at Navigant Consulting where he led forecast modeling efforts for the CPUC for five years, designed evaluation studies for energy efficiency and demand response programs in eleven states, and developed cost-benefit forecasts for smart grid technologies based on findings from technology experiments and demonstration projects. He began his career as a Process Engineer at Nuvera Fuel Cells. He received his PhD in Computational Psychology from Indiana University for his research comparing computer models to human actions that reduce uncertainty. He received an MBA and MS in Engineering Systems from MIT, and a BS in Mechanical Engineering from Auburn University. Brad was also a Peace Corps Volunteer in Guinea, West Africa where he taught high school physics.
