Chris Campbell is the Senior Director of Operational Technology Services at Salt River Project.  He is responsible for the operational technology required for real-time grid operations which consists of grid planning applications, control center applications, grid protection and control systems, and enterprise telecommunications. In his previous role, he was responsible for the planning and operation of SRP’s electric distribution grid, including the development and execution of the grid modernization strategy to support high penetrations of distributed energy resources and electrification. He is currently on the Board of Directors for the Arizona Science Center and the Dean’s Advisor Board for the University of Arizona College of Engineering.  Throughout his 35-year career, Chris has been focused on the application of information and operational technology for effective operation of electric grids. He has been with SRP since graduating from the University of Arizona with a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering (BSEE) in 1989.
