Collin Estes
With over 15 years at Occidental Petroleum (Oxy), Brad has gained extensive experience in various facets of the Oil and Gas industry, including Beam Well Analysis and Optimization, Workover and Completions, and Field Automation. Currently, he serves as an Automation Leader within Oxy’s Central Automation team, heading all IoT and Edge applications and initiatives. Using his well-rounded Oil and Gas field experience and deep interest in technology, over the past four years, Brad has been able to lay down the foundation for IoT at Oxy, structuring everything from infrastructure to organizational acceptance, and building dedicated teams for long-term IoT support. His current focus lies in transforming value add concepts into IoT solutions, implementing, scaling, and managing the teams to maintain them.
Brad holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Economics from the United States Naval Academy in Annapolis, MD, class of 2003. Post graduation he served 5 years in the United States Navy as a Surface Warfare officer onboard USS COLE and USS GLADIATOR with deployments to the Mediterranean Sea and Persian Gulf. He has previously served as Chapter President of the International Society of Automation, Permian Basin Chapter.
Brad resides outside Houston, TX, with his wife Christine and their two children, Brooklyn (11) and Greyson (7).
