Connor Duffy

Emerging Tech & DER Standards Engineer, PPL Corporation

Connor Duffy is an engineer in the Emerging Tech & DER Standards group at PPL. He is a graduate of Temple University where he obtained a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering in 2022. Connor has 3 years of utility experience, beginning his career at PPL Electric Utilities as a regional reliability engineer where he resolved customer reliability concerns, power quality issues, and completed field patrols to identify necessary repairs and upgrades to the distribution network.

In Fall of 2023, Connor transitioned roles to join the Emerging Tech & DER Standards group where he focused on building use cases and proving business value from IND.T’s Early Fault Detection system. Connor also led efforts on developing PPL’s EFD alert assessment procedure, alert prioritization criteria, and is assisting in efforts to increase sensor value via substation monitoring. 

Outside of work, Connor enjoys spending time with his family, electronics, and fishing.
