Senior Vice President Utility Services, Accenture

W. Dale Claudel is a highly accomplished utility executive with three decades of leadership experience in the energy sector. As Senior Vice President, Utilities, at Accenture, Dale leads client engagement and service delivery across the Southern U.S., driving innovation and excellence in capital project execution, grid modernization, and infrastructure transformation. His expertise also includes strategic financial management, operational excellence, risk mitigation, and regulatory compliance.

Accenture is uniquely positioned in the industry with deep expertise in technology and digital transformation, now enhanced by its ability to manage large, complex capital construction programs through its Infrastructure & Capital Projects practice. In this role, Dale helps utility clients leverage Accenture’s expanded capabilities to optimize capital deployment and improve project execution certainty.

Prior to joining Accenture, Dale served as an executive leader at a major EPC firm, where he developed and executed go-to-market strategies for its $2.5 billion Energy Utilities business, contributing to significant year-over-year revenue growth. Before that, he held multiple executive leadership roles at a major utility, where he was instrumental in modernizing the distribution grid, leading a $1.7 billion capital investment initiative; establishing a project delivery system to drive excellence in capital project delivery; and overseeing the operation of a 19 GW power generation fleet. His leadership has driven improvements in safety, operational efficiency, and financial performance.

Dale has also served on the Board of Directors for the Solar Energy Industries Association (SEIA), where he worked to advance renewable energy policies at the federal level. He holds multiple advanced degrees, including a Master of Finance and an MBA from Tulane University, a Master of Science in Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering from the University of Virginia, and a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from McNeese State University.
