Dr. Dmitry Ishchenko is a Chief Engineer within the Energy Systems team of Eaton Research Labs. In this role, he provides guidance to strategic planning and is responsible for initiating and leading emerging technology research and development programs related to grid intelligence and renewable integration. His 20+ years of research and technology development experience includes expertise in distribution grid management, control and protection, utility communications and interoperability, and cyber-physical security. Dmitry holds M.S. and Ph.D. degrees in electrical engineering specializing in electric power systems. He is an IEEE Senior Member and has been involved in multiple IEEE, IEC, and UCA Working Groups on Distributed Energy Resources integration, interoperability, grid codes, and microgrid control functions. He has published over 50 technical papers and holds 16 US and international patents.
