Don has spent 30+ years working on a variety of telecommunications systems. Since joining PPL in 2001, Don has been involved in a variety of projects related to utility communications. Don’s last position at PPL was Supervisor of T&S Design. In this role, he was responsible for Transmission SCADA,  Automation, Relay Protection Communications, and IED Management. Previously, he served as an engineer for PPL’s Advanced Meter Infrastructure and RF networking as well as supervisor for network operations, workstation support, and radio and voice operations. Don currently works as a consulting director for HCLTech where he advises utilities n utility OT and Communications systems helping utilities in SCADA, Smart Grid, AMI, Automation, PLTE/5G and ermerging technologies. Don holds a Bachelor of Science in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from Penn State Harrisburg, and is an member of the advisory board the school.
