Dr Fouad Abou Chacra works as VP Digitalization at Dubai Electricity and Water Authority- Transmission Division, where he leads the design and implementation of innovation management systems, architecture strategy and planning for digital and OT systems, cyber security risks, emerging technologies, application development, process automation, data science, AI and machine learning, and digital governance. He is a Power Systems and Digital Transformation Senior Expert/Program Manager with extensive technical and managerial experience. He holds PhD in electrical engineering and Executive MBA degrees, has occupied positions of research professional, contractor and consultant in several organizations. 
He is a Certified PMP, ASQ Six Sigma Green Belt, EFQM Assessor, CISM, CISSP and SFIA Accredited Consultant.
Throughout his career, he created new business units, managed and successfully delivered infrastructure mega-projects focusing on power control centres, substation automation systems, smart grids, cyber security, wide area monitoring systems, digital transformation, grid codes and connection standards for distributed and utility-scale solar parks, energy market design in UAE and power purchase agreements with Independent power producers, in addition to designing and implementing frameworks for project, quality, excellence, strategic planning and innovation management.
