Erik Gilbert

Erik Gilbert, MBA, leads grid modernization client engagements at Guidehouse where he focuses on grid transformation and integration, including DER and NWA strategy, with emphasis on cost-benefit and risk assessment. He led development of the firm’s Advanced Integrated Planning (AIP) and integrated DER (iDER) Solutions. Erik has over 25 years’ experience developing and managing complex products and market programs as well as performing program evaluations and assessments. He is a past member of the GridWise Alliance Board of Directors.
Prior to joining Guidehouse, he served as Director of smart-energy products for energy management system vendor Tendril Networks, Inc. (now Uplight), where he defined and executed their product roadmap, including end-use energy management technologies and strategies. Previously, Erik managed several product lines at Internet infrastructure provider Cisco Systems, Inc., and developed technology strategy for many clients with Ernst & Young Management Consulting. He began his career as a design engineer. Erik holds a BS in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and an MBA from the University of California at Berkeley.
