Fei Ding is a distinguished member of research staff and Manager of the Grid Automation and Controls Group at NREL. She is leading multiple projects at NREL on developing advanced models and controls for managing grid-edge resources to enhance grid flexibility, reliability and resilience, and developing new advanced distribution management system and distributed energy resource management system applications to modernize emerging distribution grids. She is a recipient of the Chairman's Award and President's Award at NREL. She is a senior member of the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE).
