Frankie Au-Yeung

Frankie Au-Yeung is a Principal Automation Engineer / MPAC Program Manager in the Substation Automation Engineering department at Pacific Gas and Electric Company (PG&E).  He received his B.S. of Electrical Engineering degree from San Francisco State University in 2000 and his M.B.A. in 2006.  Frankie joined PG&E in the System Protection department in 2000 and has 25 years of expertise in power system protection and substation automation, including 15 years of managing the Modular Protection Automation and Control program (MPAC).  In his present role, he is responsible to lead and interact closely with cross-functional teams, MPAC contractor/building vendor management, performance metric management, and technology enhancement in developing and managing the MPAC program/projects.  In addition, he is responsible for the annual Automation T&D Capital Program, Automation Long-Term Planning, MPAC Replacement Program, and SCADA Bundling Initiatives & Unit Cost strategies.
