Hagen currently serves as Director of Oncor’s Distribution Operations Center – West (West DOC). His organization is responsible for monitoring and operating the Western half of Oncor’s distribution system, which serves approximately 3.5 million customers. In this capacity he provides oversight over day-to-day system operations and service restoration efforts as well as change leadership and process engineering for technology implementations in the context of Oncor’s SmartGrid evolution and distribution automation strategy.
Previously, as Director of Asset Investment Strategy, Hagen was responsible for the development and management of Oncor’s capital investment portfolio, Joint Use facilities, and Distribution line extension policies. His organization advised Oncor’s executives on short-term investment plan execution, long-term asset investment priorities and provided leadership in the context of Joint Use regulations at the Federal Communications Commission (FCC).
In prior years, Hagen was responsible for the management of Oncor’s procurement, strategic sourcing and contract management functions. In this capacity he initiated and managed the development, structuring, and execution of Oncor’s services and supply relationships including the implementation of new warehousing and logistics systems. 
Hagen was born and raised in Saxony, Germany.  Prior to his move to the US in 1998, Hagen managed Alcatel’s Southeast Region organization in Germany serving commercial and industrial customers regarding voice and data enterprise networks. 
He holds an MBA (2001) from Texas Christian University in Fort Worth, Texas and a Stanford Certified Project Management (SCPM) certificate from Stanford University in California (2004).
