Jo-Jo is the CEO of Electron, which is focused on accelerating the creation of a low-carbon energy system through marketplace software for flexibility and distributed electricity. Jo-Jo started her energy career in cleantech financing and investment, specializing in solar, wind and batteries, where she got to know many of the larger renewable asset investors and their frustrations about lack of access to distribution-level flexibility markets. She has been designing and opening distributed energy markets since 2016 and she sits on expert advisory boards for Ofgem (Network Price Controls, UK13), National Grid ESO (Technology advisory council, focussing on platforms for new flexibility markets, UK14), Future Cleantech Architects (Pan-European Cleantech think tank)15, and the UK Government’s Council for Net Zero.
