John Lemire is Vice President of Grid Operations and Planning at North Carolina Electric Membership Corporation (NCEMC), the generation and transmission cooperative serving North Carolina’s electric cooperatives. John is responsible for energy operations, implementing NC electric cooperatives’ Distribution Operator; as well as overseeing integrated transmission & distribution planning efforts to meet reliability, portfolio and technology goals. These efforts are key in supporting the state’s cooperatives as they build a Brighter Future for their members. Lemire joined NCEMC in 2012 and has more than 19 years of electric utility experience. Prior to joining NCEMC, Lemire worked for Duke Energy Progress. Lemire holds a Master of Business Administration from Liberty University and a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from NC State University
