Kashif Abdullah is a Principal Engineer at National Grid, working in Distribution Controls & Integration. During his eleven years at National Grid, he has worked on multiple grid modernization technologies such as Fault Location Isolation & Service Restoration (FLISR), Volt VAR Optimization (VVO), and Active Resource Integration (ARI). Before joining National Grid, Kashif spent six years as a software engineer with Photovoltaic (PV) inverter manufacturers, where his primary focus was on developing and deploying plant master controllers for large PV customer facilities. 
Kashif holds a bachelor's degree in electrical engineering from Toronto Metropolitan University in Canada and a master's degree in computer and electrical engineering from Worcester Polytechnic Institute in the United States.
