With over 15 years in the utility and software industries, Ken is an accomplished professional in data analytics, new technology/systems deployment, and engineering. Currently, he is the Manager of the Grid Analytics and Data Modernization team at Alectra Utilities Corp. Previously, Ken spent time with Harris Computer working on strategic business initiatives, notably leading the transition to a SaaS delivery and business model for a flagship CIS Business Unit. He also worked at Kognitiv Corp., defining the backend systems to enable a B2B market trading platform. While at Opus One Solutions, Ken held various operations positions and was a SME for System Planning Tools and Analytics and Energy Markets/Distribution System Operator (DSO), with projects across the US, Europe, and Australia. Ken started off his career with Toronto Hydro where he held various Engineering and leadership positions and led numerous Smart Grid technology deployments, DER/Energy Storage/EV Integration, Monitoring, and Control, Capital Project Planning, and was responsible for overhauling all planning analytics and data governance for the entire Engineering and Construction division. Ken is a Licensed Engineer in the Province of Ontario, a Chartered Engineer in the UK, and holds a number of Project/Product Management certifications.
