Lea Clanton
Lea Clanton is the director of Business Development and Innovation for Southern Company New Ventures where she leads a team who work to accelerate the adoption of emerging innovative solutions across the enterprise to better make, move and serve energy for the benefit of customers.
Previously, Lea began her career with Georgia Power in 2006 as an intern, followed by 17 years at Georgia Power in roles of increasing responsiblity with Customer Solutions, Region External and Community Engagement, Renewable Development, Pricing and Rates and Managed Accounts.
Lea is actively engaged in the community and is grateful to work for a company that shares her passion for giving, serving on the board of directors for the Urban League of Greater Atlanta and the Latino Community Fund of Georgia. She also serves as an advisors to the PEER and Technology Women of Georgia (TWIG) at Georgia Power.
Lea is a native of Greenville, SC and a graduate of Clemson University. She resides in Atlanta with her husband and two children.
