Marco Gomez currently serves as a Sr Telecom Engineer within the Utility Communications (UCOMM) REACTs Engineering department of Exelon. In this role he practices network and RF engineering. Marco has been with Exelon for a little over 3 years but has supported them with their smart grid projects for over 5 years. Prior to coming to Exelon, Marco served in the United States Marine Corps as an 0627 Satellite Communications Operator, where he picked up knowledge in RF and network engineering through the occupational specialty experience and technical courses he attended. He served from 2015 to 2019 as a SATCOM team lead and operations manager for their cryptographic equipment. Upon his departure from USMC, Marco worked for Itron as an RF field engineer where he continued to build on his RF and network experience while directly supporting Exelon and the smart grid network. From there, he was brought on as a Telecom Engineer and full-time employee with Exelon to support the smart grid network within the field area network operations group. These experiences have led to his current role which allows him to support the PLTE project development by performing network configurations and RF studies.
