Mike Szachewicz works for We Energies, a subsidiary of WEC Energy Group, as the Operations Manager for Gas and Electric Distribution Operations.  Mike is currently functioning as the We Energies OMS Business Unit Lead dedicated to their current ADMS Project.    Before coming to We Energies, he spent 6 years in the US Navy and as a qualified Reactor Operator and Reactor Technician.  He then transitioned over to the New York Power Authority where he spent 10 years as an I&C Technician and supervisor before moving on to We Energies.  Mike started with We Energies in 1999 and worked at the Control Center as Electric Distribution Controller (EDC) on the distribution system.  After 6 years, he was promoted to Supervising Electric Distribution Controller managing 11 EDCs.  In 2015, Mike became the Operations Manager for Gas and Electric Distribution Operations overseeing the day-to-day operations of a control center responsible for the dispatching of both gas and electric outages, hazards, and switching on the distribution system.
