Prior to joining Apex, Michael worked at an energy technology company focused on the manufacture and optimization of distributed energy resources (DERs) and the development of distributed energy resource management system (DERMS) control platforms.  Michael was integral to the development of DER programs and accessing utility and wholesale markets in order to maximize revenue opportunities for DERs. Previously, Michael spent nearly 10 years working at Eversource Energy, the largest utility in New England, where he led a team of over 35 individuals responsible for EM&V, Regulatory, and Demand Response/Peak Load Management for a $500M+ portfolio.  At Eversource, Michael was at the intersection of energy efficiency, demand response, grid modernization, rates, system planning, engineering, and operations. Michael has testified in front of multiple state utility regulatory commissions on issues ranging from electric vehicles to performance-based ratemaking metrics.
