Emerging Technologies Executive with a doctorate in Artificial Intelligence who loves to use technology to make an impact in the world. In a time when technology is advancing so quickly, it can be difficult for businesses to understand what to adopt and when. As a strategic executive leader, I guide enterprises in the intelligent implementation and governance of forefront technologies, including Artificial Intelligence (AI), Generative AI (GenAI), Large Language Models (LLM), Machine Learning, Advanced Analytics, and Digital Platforms, to solve complex problems, capitalize on new opportunities, and transform the organization. I lead and contribute projects that strategically create a digital world where these advanced technologies are embedded in the right activities to make them easier, more precise, and automatic. This results in better historical and predictive data for decision-making and risk-mitigation, as well as millions in costs savings, and faster, more accurate delivery of critical work. In my current role as Data Science and AI/GenAI Director at PG&E, I leverage my extensive experience to lead governance of emerging technologies such as Generative AI and Large Language Models to accelerate the transformation of the company while mitigating cybersecurity, ethics, and information security risks. I also lead the Center of Excellence in Data Science and breakthrough algorithm development programs that drive innovation in the company. I guide a department of amazingly talented data scientists (from career to principal and manager levels) in the use of cutting-edge AI models to perform preventive maintenance, automated vision inspection, predicted service restoration time, sentiment analysis of customer experiences, etc, As a guest lecturer at Syracuse University (also Purdue University in 2022), I teach about Large Language Models and Natural Language Processing as well as other emerging technologies in Machine Learning and Artificial Intelligence, with focus on their practical business applications. As exciting as it is to work at the cutting edge of technology, it’s equally rewarding to share this rapidly expanding niche of technology with young minds. This work, at the front line of business leadership and in academia, has positioned me as an Industry Thought Leader who continuously raises awareness of emerging technologies. I am enthused to serve as an international keynote speaker making media appearances and speaking at conferences to discuss digital innovations that impact the world in a positive way.
