Riley is a Professional Engineer with extensive experience in battery energy storage, spanning from managed EV charging to optimizing cell designs for satellites. Currently, he is the Lead Data Scientist for the Customer Solutions Data Insights team at Nova Scotia Power. His team’s work focuses on evaluating time-varying electricity pricing, EM&V, and leveraging cloud-scale analytics, statistical regression, and machine learning to extract actionable insights from AMI data. Riley holds a Master’s Degree in Applied Science and is passionate about using big data to drive smarter energy solutions.
