Sean Meredith

Sean has served as the Vice President responsible for System Resilience since October of 2021, where he is responsible for Entergy’s strategic initiatives and goals to achieve excellence in resilience project performance and drive continued project efficiency around the execution of the resilience portfolio. Prior to his current role Sean was the Vice President of Power Plant Operations for the Louisiana fleet. In this role he was responsible for the operations, maintenance and strategic planning of the Louisiana power generation fleet that consists of over 8000MWs of generation.
He assumed the role as the director of operations for the Transmission Control Center North in June of 2018. In this role he was responsible for the transmission operations in Entergy’s four state service territory that included bulk power operations, generation coordination with MISO and outage management. Prior to these roles Sean has held various leadership roles in Transmission and Nuclear at Entergy.
Prior to joining Entergy, Sean served in the United States Navy as a submarine officer aboard three fast attack submarines over a ten-year span. While aboard his last submarine, the USS Hartford, he served as the Engineer Officer responsible for the operation, maintenance and repair of the nuclear reactor plant and all support systems, as well as training and qualifying all sailors in the engineering department. The USS Hartford was awarded the Arleigh Burke Award for the most improved unit in the Atlantic Fleet during his time on board.
Sean earned a bachelor's degree in systems engineering from the United States Naval Academy and completed the naval nuclear propulsion program. His wife Maureen and two sons Bryson (16) and Brady (15) reside with Sean in The Woodlands, TX. He also serves on the board of directors for the Montgomery County Food Bank.
