Shelby began her career with Georgia Power in 2012 as a Distribution Engineering co-op student. She has held various roles within Power Delivery including Distribution Engineer, Distribution Design and Performance Engineer, Project Manager to the Power Delivery General Managers, Grid Investment Communication & Engagement Supervisor, and Storm Center Communications Supervisor. Shelby has also held various roles in other organizations across the company including Industrial Key Account Manager (KAM), Municipalities/Universities/Schools/ Hospitals Market KAM managing Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport, Executive Customer Relations Supervisor, and Customer Service Quality Assurance Supervisor.  Currently, Shelby serves as the Power Delivery Stakeholder Engagement Manager, leading strategic, proactive internal and external engagement efforts for high impact projects across the Distribution and Transmission organizations.  Shelby earned a Bachelor’s degree in Agricultural Engineering with an emphasis in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from the University of Georgia, a Master of Business Administration from Kennesaw State University, and a Women in Leadership certificate from Cornell University.  She is a past president for the Technical Women in Georgia employee resource group and is actively engaged in the Power Delivery Women in Network organization. In the community, Shelby currently sits on the UGA College of Engineering Industry board and has served as a president of Leadership Paulding County and as an active member of the Empowering Women of Paulding group.  Outside of work, Shelby enjoys spending time with her husband Justin and their three year old son Elliott.
