Tom Lawton, President of TESCO – The Eastern Specialty Company, is a graduate of MIT and President of Knopp, Inc., Mesurina, Ltd., and Power Measurements, Inc. (divisions of TESCO).  Acquisitions such as the NIGHTHAWK AMI product line have expanded TESCO’s range. TESCO is headquartered in suburban Philadelphia, with manufacturing offices in Ohio, Texas, and Canada. TESCO serves North American utilities and has opened offices in the Pacific Rim and beyond.  

Tom has been working in the electric metering industry since 1984.  He has spearheaded TESCO’s innovative product development over the past twenty years as the company and the industry have evolved with AMI technologies. Tom has also been at the forefront of the EVSE charger testing revolution. Tom has taken an active role in the industry by participating and supporting numerous meter schools and conferences, helping to write and edit the latest edition of the Meter Man’s Handbook, and participating as a voting member and active participant in the ANSI C12 Metering Standards Main and Subcommittees.
