Tyler McGrath is the Distribution Controls and SCADA Engineering Manager at Xcel Energy. He has 18 
years of utility experience in the fields of Distribution Automation, ADMS, SCADA and Distribution 
Operations. He has led Xcel Energy’s Advanced Grid initiative implementing an ADMS with FLISR and 
IVVO across 8 states and 6 control centers. In his role today he oversees Xcel’s automation team 
supporting Wildfire, DER Integration, Microgrids, as well as day to day operations.
