Udoka C. Nwaneto (Member, IEEE) received the B.Eng. degree in electrical engineering (with First Class Hons.) from the University of Nigeria, Nsukka, in 2013, the M.Sc. degree in new and renewable energy (with Distinction) from St. Hild and St. Bede College, Durham University, Durham, U.K., in 2018, and the Ph.D. degree in electrical and computer engineering from the University of Calgary, Calgary, AB, Canada, in 2022. From 2016 to 2018, he was a Graduate Assistant with the Department of Electrical Engineering, University of Nigeria, Nsukka. From April to November 2020, he was a Mitacs Accelerate Intern at Audacious Energy Inc., Calgary where he conducted industry-based research focused on the development of Internet-of-Things-based microgrid control products. Since 2018, he has been a Lecturer II with the Department of Electrical Engineering, University of Nigeria, Nsukka, Nigeria. He is currently a Research Engineer with the Pacific Northwest National Laboratory. He is the author of ten conference papers and four journal articles. His main research interests include the electromagnetic transient-, dynamic phasor- and static phasor-based modeling and simulation of power systems, the co-simulation of electric distribution and transmission systems, the control of renewable energy systems, modular multilevel converters, and Internet-of-Things-enabled microgrids. Dr. Nwaneto has received numerous awards, including PNNL's Outstanding Performance Award (OPA), the Commonwealth Shared Scholarship, the Werner Graupe International Fellowship, the Mitacs Accelerate Internship Award, the NSERC Alexander Graham Bell Canada Graduate Doctoral Scholarship, and the Alberta Innovates Graduate Student Doctoral Scholarship. Dr. Nwaneto is a reviewer for IEEE Transactions on {Smart Grid, Energy Conversion, Sustainable Energy} and IEEE Open Access Journal of Power and Energy.
