Yashar Kenarangui
Yashar Kenarangui is a Principal Engineer at Xcel Energy's Emerging Technologies group, bringing 13 years of expertise in power engineering, consulting, and the electric power industry. He specializes in the techno-economic evaluation and demonstration of innovative grid technologies, supporting the company’s grid modernization initiatives. Yashar is an active contributor to IEEE standards development and serves as the vice chair of IEEE 1547.10. Additionally, he is an adjunct faculty at the University of Saint Thomas in St. Paul, Minnesota. Yashar holds an M.S. in Electrical and Computer Engineering from the University of Wisconsin-Madison, a B.S. in Electrical Engineering from the University of Texas at Arlington and is a licensed Professional Engineer (PE) in Illinois.
