All primary instructors and co-instructors will be paid 60-days post-conference. If you cannot receive payment, please contact Sarah Toews, sarah.toews@clarionevents.com

Course information can be found under the Utility University® program page. The page will be available in mid-October.

 

In your acceptance email, the room number should have been noted. You can also view our Utility University program page once live and that will list the room numbers for each course. 

Courses can be scheduled for 4 hours, either in the AM or PM, or be a full-day 8-hour course.  If you are unsure of your course's duration, please consult your Lead Instructor.

Instructors should be in the room where they are scheduled to speak at least 5 minutes before to set-up your computer and presentation BEFORE the session starts.  There will be an AV tech on hand to assist. 

Instructors should bring their presentation on a USB OR their computer. Show management will not be able to provide access to any previously loaded presentations.  If your utility does not allow for use of a USB, please bring your personal computer to access your presentation.

This is entirely up to you and your instructors, but we recommend meeting with them the morning of your session in the Speaker Ready Room (W205AB), if possible. Please confirm before the conference.

Screen, projector, podium, microphone, laser pointer, and laptop computer. Plan to prepare your presentation in 16:9 format (HD). 

Use a USB or your computer to access your presentation. Any presentations or handouts uploaded prior to the conference will ONLY be used for conference proceedings.

This is entirely up to the instructors(s). Handouts can be uploaded prior to the show to be accessed digitally by attendees during or after the conference. You may bring paper copies to your course, if preferred.

All UU Instructors will be registered by Clarion Events upon completion of your Utility University Instructor Agreement.  Instructors receiving complimentary badges can pick up their badges onsite at Registration beginning Sunday, February 25th or Monday, February 26th.  

Your registration will cover the entrance to DISTRIBUTECH® exhibit floors, conference sessions, coffee breaks Tuesday through Thursday, access to the conference online presentations, and networking receptions. 

Yes. You'll find stations to review your presentation and make changes if necessary.  Staff will be available to assist you with any presentation or course questions. Speaker Ready Room for DISTRIBUTECH® speakers will be located in Room W205AB in the Orange County Convention Center.

Internet will only be available in the common areas, lobbies, and Speaker Ready Room There will NOT be internet in the conference rooms or exhibit hall. If you need to download your presentation, or check email, please use the Speaker Ready Room.
